What’s included

Four things in every engagement

Most clients come to us after software has failed on the hard parts. The service covers the full job, not just the easy 80 percent.

01

Full reconciliation

We import and clean your entire history across every exchange, wallet and chain, then reconcile it under HMRC Share Pooling (TCGA 1992 s.104) for the UK or the IRS cost-basis rules for the US.

02

Income and gains split

Staking, mining and airdrop income is separated from capital gains. In the UK that is miscellaneous income on the SA100. In the US it is ordinary income on Schedule 1.

03

Filing

UK clients get the SA100 plus SA108 filed with HMRC. US clients get IRS Form 8949 and Schedule D prepared for filing with the 1040.

04

A defensible audit trail

Every figure is documented so it holds up if HMRC or the IRS asks. This is the part software cannot give you.

The process

From exports to filed in three steps

Step 01

Free 30-minute review

Share your Koinly, CoinTracker or CSV exports. We tell you whether the numbers are filable, where the errors are, and give you a fixed quote.

Step 02

Reconciliation and review

We rebuild the data, apply the correct rules, and flag anything that changes your position. You see the corrected report before anything is filed.

Step 03

Filing and sign-off

We file the return and hand over the full working papers. Standard cases are typically completed within 14 to 21 days.

Built for the hard parts

What we
reconcile

The service exists for the transactions software breaks on. We handle 40+ exchanges, wallets and DeFi protocols, and where data is missing, for example a delisted exchange or a closed account, we reconstruct it from on-chain records.

Including the cases that break software

  • Uniswap and other DEX liquidity positions
  • Liquid staking and rebasing tokens such as stETH
  • Cross-chain bridges and wrapped assets
  • Coins transferred across multiple wallets with broken cost basis
  • High-volume trading histories with thousands of transactions
Pricing & coverage

Fixed quote, no fee until you accept

A standard UK Self Assessment or US filing for a moderate-volume holder typically runs £400 to £1,200 plus VAT. DeFi-heavy or multi-year work is quoted after the review. The quote is fixed and given before any work starts.

The service covers both systems, including the dual-filer position where the UK and US tax years split the same disposals across different reporting periods. We also handle remedial work: HMRC nudge letters, voluntary disclosure, IRS CP2000 notices, and previously unfiled years.

FAQ

Common questions

What is included in your crypto tax service?

Full reconciliation of your exchange and on-chain history, the correct split between income and capital gains, the filed return (SA100 and SA108 in the UK, or Form 8949 and Schedule D in the US), and a documented audit trail.

How long does the crypto tax service take?

Standard cases are usually completed within 14 to 21 days of receiving your data. High-volume or multi-year reconstruction takes longer and is scoped at the review stage.

Do I need to use specific software?

No. We work from Koinly, CoinTracker, Recap, or raw CSV and wallet exports. If you have nothing, we reconstruct from on-chain data and exchange records.

What if my exchange has closed or I lost access?

We reconstruct missing history from blockchain records and any partial data you still hold. Closed or delisted exchanges are a common situation, not a blocker.
