Cookie policy
Every cookie this site sets, what it does, how long it lasts and how to change your mind at any point.

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed for a page to work at all. Others watch how the site is used so the people running it can see what is worth writing more of. Nothing on this site needs a cookie in order to be read.
Your choice
When you first arrive you are asked to accept or reject. Rejecting is one click, exactly like accepting, and nothing on the site is withheld if you say no. Only the strictly necessary cookies run until you agree to more.
You can change your answer whenever you like.
Strictly necessary cookies
These run without asking, because the site cannot function properly without them. They do not track you across other websites.
| Cookie | Set by | Lasts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
cookieyes-consent | CookieYes | 1 year | Remembers the cookie choice you made so you are not asked on every page |
wpEmojiSettingsSupports | WordPress | Session | Records whether your browser can display emoji, so the page does not load a fallback it does not need |
Analytics cookies
These only run if you accept them. We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read and which guides are worth expanding. We look at it in aggregate. It does not tell us who you are, and we have not connected it to any advertising product.
| Cookie | Set by | Lasts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | 13 months | Distinguishes one browser from another so repeat visits are not counted as new people |
_ga_<id> | Google Analytics | 13 months | Holds the session state for this particular site |
Booking cookies
Calls are scheduled through Calendly. Its cookie is set when the booking tool loads, and it only appears if you have accepted this category.
| Cookie | Set by | Lasts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
_calendly_session | Calendly | 21 days | Keeps the booking tool working while you pick a time |
What this site does not do
There are no advertising cookies here. We do not run a Meta pixel, a LinkedIn insight tag or Google Ads remarketing, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share your browsing data with anyone for their own marketing.
The site does load fonts from Google, which means Google sees the request your browser makes for them. That does not set a cookie.
Managing cookies in your browser
Separately from the banner, every browser lets you block or delete cookies. You will find the controls under privacy settings in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, usually alongside an option to clear what is already stored.
Blocking everything is your right and this site will still work, though the consent banner will reappear on each visit, because the cookie that remembers your answer is itself blocked.
Changes to this policy
Adding or removing a tool changes the cookies a site sets, so we review this page when that happens and update the date at the top. The consent panel always shows the current list, which is generated from a scan of the live site rather than written by hand.
